{UAH} UJA GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW

Practicing journalists, don't wait for only Polling Day tomorrow but even todaty even go and attend the General Assembly  to ensure that the UJA constitution is not abrogated for selfish interests of an individual or a clique of a few individuals. We should keep two term limits for every post, and the Secretariat should be under the directly elected Secretary General, and the Executive Committee should have power to recruit an Administrative Secretary and his assistant. We should have a board of trusties made up of former presidents and vice presidents. We should also have Regional Coordinators as members of the Executive Committee, for Eastern, Western, Central and Northern Uganda. The term should remain two years renewable once. Other media organisation should be affiliated to UJA but UJA should not be turned into a federation of other media organisations some of which are brief case, not transparent, not accountable and do not follow democratic principles of a free and democratic association.
