PRESS RELEASE FROM UDFR-IHAMYE PARTY ON THE ASSASSINATION OF Col.P.Karegeya

 

After the torture and the assassination of the politician Patrick Karegeya, one of the important founder and member of the political coalition RNC; the UDFR-Ihamye party wish to inform all Rwandans of the followings:

1. The party UDFR-Ihamye  is join itself to the believed family and the members of the RNC in the sorrow caused by the killing of Col. Patrick Karegeya.

2. The Party UDFR-Ihamye also wants to take this opportunity to encourage the believed family and the members of the RNC coalition;

3. The deceased Col.Patrick Karegeya used to be one of the high ranking  military of the RPF and the Rwandan government , in charge of the external intelligence until the time he parted ways with the RPF government ;

4. The assassination of the Col. Patrick comes to add to that of Col. Kiza Augustin,Dr. Hitimana Léonard, Kagwa André, Rugambage Léonard,…etc, the attempt of assassination of Gé. Kayumba Nyamwasa,the incarceration of the politician Victoire Umuhoza, President of FDU-Inking, Mushayidi Déogratias, President of PDP-Imanzi, Ntaganda Bérnard President of PS-Imberakuri, Dr.Niyitegeka  Théoneste former  Rwandan presidential candidate in the 2003 presidential election;

Other politicians: Bizimungu Paster and Ntakirutinka Charles who were about to form a political party PDR-Ubuyanja  and others are denied their rights.

All the above mentioned used to be or are in opposition to the Rwandan government.  

           The harassment of associations of protection of the human rights and journalists in Rwanda also are to be addressed to.

                

5. The journalists who tried to bring to light the acts of the Rwandan government which are not in the interest of the population were or jailed if not killed or sent into exile in foreign countries;

6. The party UDFR-Ihamye; considering that the above mentioned people were subjected to harassed ,tortured or killed or disappeared; wants to let the Rwandans that the assassination of Col. Partick Karegeya may be linked to the kind of duties he exercised;

7. The Party UDFR-Ihamye wants to take this opportunity and ask all Rwandans especially those who are in political of the opposition to the Kigali government not to get discouraged but to see the blood of the deceased Patrick Karegeya as a key to the way towards the solutions of problems Rwanda which had so far got no answers.

8. The political parties of the opposition to the government of Kigali should take it as an opportunity of putting their efforts together in order to forge strategies to protect themselves and their members especially refugees who have no voice.

9. The party UDFR-Ihamye wants to take this opportunity and ask the United Nations, the African Union, the European Union, SADC, EAC to make use of all its tools and means to bring Rwandans to the all inclusive Dialogue –DIRHI so as to find solutions to all causes which antagonize rwandas and to  put an end once for all to all causes which makes peoples refugees.

10. The Party UDFR-Ihamye ask the Republic of South Africa to use all in its powers and as soon as possible to arrest and bring to justice the killers of Col. Partick Karegeya together with those who attempted to assassinate Gen. Kayumba Nyamwasa.In particular, the South african government should see how to come up with a clear strategy in order to protect Rwandans refugees together with other asylum seekers in their country.

Nyuma y’iyicwa  ry’Umunyapolitiki Colonel Patrick Karegeya,akaba umwe mubayayoboke b’Imena bashinze urugaga rwa politiki RNC;ishyaka UDFR-Ihamye riramenyesha abanyarwanda ibi bikurikira:

1.Ishyaka UDFR-Ihamye ryifatanyije n’Umuryango,abayoboke n’abayobozi b’urugaga rwa politiki  RNC mukababaro gakomeye batewe n’iyicwa rya Colonel Karegeya Patrick;

2.Ishyaka UDFR-Ihamye rikaba riboneyeho umwanya wo kwihanganisha umuryango,abayoboke n’abayobozi b’Urugaga RNC;

3.Colonel Karegeya Patrick wishwe yahoze ari umwe mungabo zikomeye za FPR ndetse n’iza Leta y’u Rwanda akaba yarakuriye urwego rw’Ubutasi bwo Hanze y’u Rwanda kugeza ubwo yitandukanyije n’ubutegetsi bwa FPR yakoreraga;

4.Iyicwa rya Colonel rikaba rije risanga irindi yicwa ry’aba Colonel Kiza Augustin,Député Dr Hitimana Léonard,Kagwa André,Rugambage Léonard  ;iraswa rya G.kayumba Nyamwasa;

Ifungwa ry’abanyapolitiki : Ingabire Umuhoza Victoire Présidente wa FDU-Inkingi,Mushayidi Déogratias Président wa PDP-Imanzi,Ntaganda Bernard Président wa PS-imberakuri,Dr Niyitegeka Théoneste wiyamamarije  umwanya  prezida wa Repubulika y’u Rwanda mu matora yo muw’2003;

5.Abanyamakuru n’abo bagerageza kwandika bereka Leta y’u Rwanda ko ikora ibikorwa bitarengera abaturage bayo ahubwo biba bigamije kubahohotera ,abo bose bagiye bafungwa,abandi bakicwa abatishwe bagatorongezwa bakaba baheze imahanga,

6.Ishyaka UDFR-Ihamye rishingiye ko abantu bavuzwe haruguru bagiye batotezwa,bakicwa cg bakabura byagiye bibakorerwa  bishingiye kumirimo bakoraga ,riramenyesha abanyarwanda ko n’urupfu rwa Colonel Karegeya Patrick rwabaye rushingiye kumurimo wa politiki yakoraga;

7.Ishyaka UDFR-Ihamye riboneyeho gusaba abanyarwanda bose cyane cyane abakora politiki itavuga rumwe na Leta ya Kigali ko bagomba kudacika intege ko ahubwo amaraso ya Nyakwigendera Patrick Karegeya agomba kuba urufunguzo rw’inzira y’ibisubizo kubibazo u Rwanda rwari waraburiye umuti;

8.Amashyaka atavuga rumwe na Leta ya kigali agomba kuruheraho ashyira imbaraga hamwe kugira ngo arusheho kubona uko yirengera anarengera abanyarwanda muri rusange batakigira uwabavuganira cyane cyane Impunzi;

9.Ishyaka UDFR-Ihamye riboneyeho gusaba umuryango Mpuzamahanga ,Umuryango w’Ubumwe bw’Ibihugu by’Iburayi,AU,SADC,EAC gukora ibishoboka byose kuburyo mu Rwanda haba inama y’Umushyikirano DIRHI kugira ngo abanyarwanda bavaneho impamvu zibateranya zikanabahamagaraira inzira y’Ubuhungiro;
