{UAH} DP disowns Erias Lukwago
Democratic Party president Nobert Mao has today disclosed the party´s stand about the Lord mayor´s recent impeachment. While addressing press, Mao said the lord mayor Elias Lukwago´s dismissal from office was made easier by the decision he made from the whole electoral onset when he chose to stand as an independent candidate. He was responding to the question why some DP councillors voted against a fellow DP member. He however condemned the action of Kampala minister Tumwebaze Frank for not honoring the court order. Lukwago was impeached on the 25th November 2013. Its not clear why it has taken this long for the party to make clarifications about its stand.
