Every Saturday, we publish a cartoon by an African cartoonist. The African suspects at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague is among the favourite subjects.

By the end of March news broke that Congolese war crimes suspect Bosco Ntaganda, nicknamed 'The Terminator', turned himself in at the US embassy in Kigali. He has since been taken to the ICC, where he awaits a hearing to confirm the charges brought against him.

This is the 13th article in a series that features the best-read and most interesting articles of 2013. It was originally published on 30 March.

Who is Damien Glez?

Franco-Burkinabé cartoonist Damien Glez began his career drawing for the satirical weekly Le Journal du Jeudi. In 2001, he and fellow cartoonists created the monthly Pan-African satirical Le Marabout. Glez's cartoons are regularly published in Le Journal du Jeudi (Burkina Faso), Vita Magazine (Italy), Afronline (Italy), Chorus (France), World Policy Journal (US), Continental (France-Africa), La Mèche (France), Courrier international (France-Africa) and Jeune Afrique (France-Africa).

Glez is a member of the Cartooning for Peace foundation.
