SV: {UAH} Prime Minister of Uganda John Patrick Mbabazi has come under fire from his fellow legislators
"..... A cross section of mps from Acholi region threatened to secede from Uganda if the prime minister is not held accountable...."
Is that not dumb? What kind of debate is that? Can't those Hon MPs invent some thing more fathomable to the ordinary Ugandan mind?

The Prime Minister of Uganda John Patrick Mbabazi has come under fire from his fellow legislators as they demanded for immediate resignation for driving a car bought from part of the PRDP Money. The Public Accounts Committee minority report recommended for his resignation and also pay back the money used buy the prestigious car. A cross section of mps from Acholi region threatened to secede from Uganda if the prime minister is not held accountable
The Committee stage of the whole house today debated and considered the report of the committee on public accounts committee on the special audit report on the financial impropriety in the office of the prime minister.
The report which does not mention any political supervisor to be prosecuted recommended to parliament that the permanent secretary Pius Bigirimana be prosecuted and PRDP Monies be recovered immediately.
The legislators who were debating this report some shifted the blame to the Prime Minister who was pestered to resign. The PM looked unsettled in parliament as he continuously fetched drinking water from the dispenser.
Other members want the prime minister to write a comprehensive special investigation report on the allegations of financial impropriety so that parliament can expeditiously consider it for value of money audit. They are also seeking to amend the penal code act to deal with the issue of blackmail as it was of the First Lady and minister for Karamoja affairs who was allegedly said to have travelled to Isreal 9 times yet she travelled once.
The report also covers issues raised in the auditor General's report with specific emphasis on the fraudulent diversion of donor funds meant for PRDP activities to do other this for instance funds sent to personal accounts regardless of the source of all funds paid out for fuel and food supplies.
By press time the committee was still debating the report and the culprits who are said to have touched worth over 50 billion shillings are like to face the law to pay back the money.___________________________________Gwokto La'Kitgum"Even a small dog can piss on a tall Building", Jim Hightower
