Discovery Africa to up pace of graphite exploration in Tanzania, Uganda and Namibia

Discovery Africa (ASX:DAF) has provided an update on activities at its multiple graphite projects in Africa.
At the Kitgum graphite project in Uganda, DAF is conducting due diligence with regards to an option to purchase, and expects the process will be completed well before the 31 March 2014 expiry.
On successful completion of the due diligence, DAF will initiate a geophysical study to assist in drill targeting.
At its proposed acquisition of another graphite project in Tanzania, the company will shortly conduct an on-site due diligence visit, comprising of a geological, technical and legal assessment.
Further updates will be provided when results from this investigation are finalised.
And at its Erongo graphite project in Namibia, DAF has appointed Minrom to map and characterise the graphite flake distribution hosted by the Karabib Marble.
During September 2013 Minrom successfully completed the Phase 1 mapping and sampling of the graphite enriched marble horizons, where an induced polarisation survey indicated several anomalies.
Minrom was subsequently tasked to investigate further via borehole drilling. The first borehole was completed on 28th January, and a second is now in progress.
Results will be released in due course.
