{UAH} France's Lavillenie beats Sergueï Bubka's pole-vault record!

What has always been judged untouchable has been touched
this Saturday 15  02  2014 when 27-year old Renaud Lavillenie
has passed Ukrainian Sergueï Bubka's pole-vault indoor record figure ( 615 metres)
the gallant athlete set in 1993 Lavillenie cleared the bar at 616 metres to become a great champion,
and one of the greatest of all time ubka however remains the outdoor champion with a 614 metres leap
which he set in 1994 But this one will also go as Lavillenie is now in excellent form and is even expected
to reach 620 metres!
The event took place at Donetsk in Uhraine in the presence of Bubka himself who warmly congratulated
the French athlete  Having cleared 601 metres on the third attempt Lavillenie requested to place the bar at
616 metres which he cleared on the very first attempt!
Lavillenie trains very intensely everyday at the back of his house where he has set up a facility, and in the local municipal gymnasium is first coach was his father, an ex-pole-vaulter  He won a gold medal at the last Olympic
and was one of those sportsmen who were wildly cheered by the million people on the Champs-Elysées Avenue
when the French Olympic team was paraded atop of specially hired buses the day they returned home
