But, on a serious note, the president is laboring mightily here to justify the indefensible - persecuting gays.
His "scientific research" is from a single source, a Ms. Kennedy from the US, who fed some "genetic experts" at Makerere with the conclusion that Museveni wanted.
Whichever way he slices it, the president confirms here that homosexuality has been part of the African culture from time immemorable; thus the various names for gays in Ugandan languages that he cites in this statement.
