President Museveni Finally Seals It Off By Signing The Anti-Homosexuality Bill.

Following Obama’s warning to Uganda over the enacting the controversial anti-gay bill that will complicate relations with t US, President Museveni seems to have given it a deaf ear and has finally went on and signed it.

Ethics Minister Father Simon Lokodo confirms that President Yoweri Museveni has signed the Anti-Homosexuality Bill into law. Many important donor countries, including the United States of America, had tried to dissuade the President of Uganda from signing the bill into law. They claim the law will be used to harass sexual minorities and deny them their human right to sex with a consenting adult.                      

It is under this proposed legislation, that those convicted of homosexual acts could face life imprisonment. The law will also make it a crime not to report gay people; promotion of homosexuality – even talking about it without condemning it – would also be punishable by a prison sentence.
