Two Members of Parliament and former MP are in trouble after money lending companies dragged them to court over unpaid loans.
Kenroy Investments Ltd, filed suits against Ndorwa West MP, David Bahati, seeking recovery of over sh55m accruing from money lending transactions of 2012.
The company also seeks a recovery of over sh100m from Gomba District woman MP, Nakato Kyabangi.
In a related development, United Bank of Africa also sued former Ishaka Municipality MP, Nasser Basajjabalaba demanding an outstanding balance of over sh100m to a loan granted to him in 2012.
Court has ordered each legislator to file defense in 10 days.
Justice Angline Ssennoga will hear Kyabangi's case, while Justice Billy Kainamura will handle both Bahati and Basajjabalaba's cases.
