{UAH} Alert: Amin For Parliament Come 2016

Dear Friends and Well-wishers,

It is with some measure of delight and commitment that I would like to announce my candidacy for the next parliamentary elections of 2016.

This has been a very important decision for me to take. And indeed it isn't a light one, particularly with my late fathers legacy in mind.

However complex being Amin's son has been, I am now better prepared for many eventualities and my constituency of choice is Koboko District.

However, many supporters have asked me to consider Arua municipality, while others insist on the Maracha district parliamentary seat. (Maracha being my late mother Kay Adroa Amin's ancestral village).

I am pleased to note the overwhelming feedback particularly the elders and sections of the youth.

I ask all Ugandans to support me even if they aren't residents of the districts mentioned above.

My struggle is national.

And God willing, I will pursue that line once in parliament.

I am already preparing a manifesto that will outline my views and political hopes on local, national and regional matters, as well as my outlook for Africa's future in the so-called "new world order".

I embraced democracy long time ago in the 80's as a student in France, the first democratic country in the world.

And now it is time for me to become a guarantor of democracy amongst others.

May I invite all wellwishers to contact me with their opinions, advice and support of any kind through my contacts below.

I will also soon communicate my final decision on the actual district that I will contest for.

But what is as sure as steel, is what I stand for: Human Rights, Rule of Law, Freedom, A Better Democracy, Good Governance and Economic Prosperity.

I want that to be understood as clearly as it has ever been.

In the mean time, I call on all Ugandans to make sure that they are registered voters.

I also call on all Ugandans to be productively concerned and politically aware. Aware of what this country needs in order to progress towards the free and prosperous Uganda that we all want for ourselves and for the yet-to-be-born citizens of this nation.

And let me strive on behalf of all Ugandans for this country.
