{UAH} THE FEDERAL GARIYAMOSI ON THE MOVE!
A group of Ugandans in the United States recently formed a pressure group, the Federalist Alliance for Democracy and Development in Uganda (Faddu), aimed at regime change in their motherland.
In a statement emailed to The Observer, Faddu said it had met with American politicians to garner support for their campaign.
Faddu said it met members of the subcommittee on African Affairs to petition the US government to explain key features of what it termed “Museveni’s oppressive rule in Uganda”.
The Faddu team included Lawrence Nsereko Kiwanuka, Charlie Lakony, Dorothy Bryant and Brenda Showers; the US team was led by Senator Chris Coons of Delaware. Faddu said Kampala should not label their group terrorists – as most dictatorships were wont to describe dissenting voices.
