Human trafficking is an international crime that plays on people's desperation and communal trust.
A penniless, unemployed person is willing to throw out caution and take a risk in search of better opportunities in far away land. Similarly, one will readily accept an invitation from a friend or tribesmate, to venture into perilious journeys that often end up badly.
Below is the ugly turn of events for 100 nationals of Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico, who were found crammed on top of one another, in a filfthy, tiny house in Houston, US.
