Hundreds of frightened Congolese nationals who fled across the border
to Uganda at the height of the war between M23 and their home
government perished in a boat accident over the weekend. Reports in
the Ugandan press indicate that 110 bodies including those of children
had been recovered by close of search operations today.
Back in Congo, the people are in deep anguish at the news. Just when
they thought happiness had come with peace, this tragedy occured.
M23 is to blame: had they not launched a costly non-starter war this
wouldn;t have happened.
