{UAH} MULINDWA'S POLITICS & MENTALITY OF USED TRAFFIC LIGHT!

Mulindwa;

Your piece below, is under par by your usual standard and i will take at face value. As you might have noticed, i have switched the heading to scale it up!.

Here you wrote:   I fail to understand your problem with used lights.

Mulindwa, this is what i want to address rather than the so called "NRM projects".

The mentality of used traffic light for development, is an allegory that describes the warped mentality of third world thinking.. Sending used traffic light to Uganda is like buying a new dress for a patient whose body is wrecked with syphilis or some deadly virus in the hope that it will make the patient better.

The body politics of Uganda is wrecked and dressing it up with some used traffic light or projects will not cure the situation. What we should be aiming at is curing the body politics first and foremost. We should look at the system of governance, distribution of power, rights, justice and freedom.  Once these are in place and working, then we can deal with traffic lights, used or new.

I to admit that your intention then, was a good one but your priority then and now is misplaced. My attempt over the weeks and months has yielded very little in inculcating what i imbibed from Betty Kamya. She contends that, the system of governance needs addressing first and foremost, for any progress to be made. This is what i agree with and this is the big project, bigger than all the NRM projects put together, and it's a project for which i will pursue relentlessly, because i know once achieved, we will have put an end to the bad mentality of used traffic light. The mentality of putting the plough before the ox.

Sir, if you may, could you point out to me what national project the NRM government has undertaken since it shot its way to power? None!

No actually that is not true, The NRM government has created several projects, it has created monsters like Tinyefunza, Samson Mande Dr Kiiza Besigye Betty Kamya Ofondo Opondo Mugisha Muntu Mulera and so many but mention a few, monsters we now know can sacrifice everything for personal gains. But NRM has created a situation in Uganda for Ugandans to realize that governments are never changed by going to the bus but by a vote. If you are not satisfied by the results of a vote you wait for a next time and change your vote. Trust me if you ever try to go back to the bush next time you are going alone Ugandans have reached appoint of never trying this stupidity again due to the education they have got this time around. But NRM Has exposed men like Abbey Ssemuwemba who have the ability to stand up and define our dead people as died justifiably, had The Movement never gone to the bush we would never have understood how cruel they are. These are all successful projects achieved by NRM sir. I fail to understand your problem with used lights, Akim I have been in many countries where the population very successfully use these things and survive, and Guatemala and Jamaica are very good examples where Toronto transit Commission for example parks all used buses and subway trains and send them to them these things are still running very good to today sir. “Perhaps you will send them a container full of used traffic lights to shed some light as load shed take hold of the city and cause havoc at the hospitals.” Akim the government of Ontario uses school buses I think for only 6 months, what I wrong with a bus of 6 months to be used in Uganda? Many end up sold to private companies here that use them in this province, are the road standards of Kampala better than the standards of this province?
