South Sudan rebels say ready to go to war with Juba
The conflict ongoing in south Sudan between the government and the rebel faction led by former vice president Riek Machar may turn more bloody as the rebel faction now confirm that it is ready for an armed struggle.

The top leadership of the rebel faction that has arrived in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa, says that already all around the country, they are organized ready to engage militarily with Salva Kiir’s forces. This military command was under the command of Lt. General Alfred Lado , one of president Salva Kiir’s former advisors. These military threats to oust the current Juba regime , come as the two warring factions have been in Addis Ababa, for close to a month to engage in the second phase of peace negotiations. The negotiations have so far failed to show any progress. Even a deal to end hostilities that had been signed between the two sides has been openly violated . . Angelina Teny Machar - Senior Member of Rebel Faction So whether the deal will have any effect, I must say it has not been effective ever since it was signed. Whether it will be effective in the future is a matter remaining to be decided by the mediating team and those countries that are supporting the talks. Juba has so far remained silent over the military threats by the opposition. The government’s negotiating team in Addis Ababa, insists that it will stick to the negotiation agenda that will be provided by the mediation team. Analysts say the conflict in South Sudan may take longer to be resolved, because the warring factions seem more keen on solidifying their military might , instead of speeding up peaceful negotiations.
