For real (Visitor),

There is no name such as "Amaro!" If you are trying to say "Amara" but you cannot say it because you have serious mental impairment, you better stop commenting on the precious name "Amara." The word "Amara" is a well-respected universal name and should not be your dirty mother's vocabulary.

Yes, the Amharas have a remarkable history, a venerated culture, and a long tradition that have inspired millions of renowned historians throughout the world. There is no place in Ethiopia without the mark or trace of the Amharas' history, culture, tradition, and faith. The Amharas have been the symbols of Ethiopia's unity, prosperity, civility, and diversity.

You are lucky you have such a unique tribe – the Amharas' tribe – that you can learn the rule of law, justice, and the art of sound and strong leadership from such a tribe, the Amharas' unique tribe. The Amharas are the quintessential of excellence in traditional and modern education, and in preserving Ethiopia's history and in passing it from one generation to the next generation.

The Amharas' unparalleled work-ethics have rendered the Amharas the most noble, civilized, gentle, and gregarious human beings on the Christian land of Ethiopia. The Amharas have been friendly tribes to their neighbors as well as to the strangers: no stranger has ever been turned off from entering any Amhara's house as a guest to spend a night or two and get some rest, food and drink there.

Ethiopia is one of the blessed African countries in producing such a homogenous tribe and as such a welcoming and an inclusive tribe, the Amhara tribe. The Amhara tribe can be found everywhere in Ethiopia and throughout the world: Go to Harar; there you find the Amharas; go to Oromia; there you find the Amharas; go to Wollo, Tigre, and to many other Ethiopia's provinces, and there you find the Amharas farming, harvesting, teaching, leading, and administrating justice. Go to London, to Paris, to Rome, to Sydni, to Berlin, to Moscow, to Beijing, to Ottawa, to Washington, to Tokyo, and to many other modern cities, and there you find the Amharas learning and excelling in their education.

The Amharas, by nature, are hard-working people, and that is why they have been in the leadership position for centuries in the Christian land of Ethiopia. Ethiopia is shaped in the image of the Amhara people: the Amhara people are the natural beauties of Ethiopia, especially the Amhara girls.

It is not by accident the Amhara language has become the Ethiopian national language because the Amhara people are everywhere and every Ethiopian is in love with the Amhara culture, tradition, and history, and the only way to know the Amhara culture is to learn the Amhara language, and that is why the Amharic language is being taught in all Ethiopian schools.

The Amhara language is rooted in the Judeo-Christianity culture, a historical, universal, dynamic, and rich culture, the culture of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Salomon, Queen Sheba, Menelik II, and so on and so forth.

Can you tell me which African language ever has such a long history like the history of the Amharic language?

Few years ago, I landed at Rome Air Port, and as soon as I got out of the airplane, an Italian young man greeted me and said to me: "ጤና ይስጥልኝ!" I felt very proud and recognized the universality of the Amharic language, the language of the proud Ethiopian people. It is this kind of immortal pride the Amhara people contributed to the rest of the Ethiopian people, and that pride is the Amharic language.

The Amharic language engraved in the hearts of the Ethiopian children will live forever and ever, and no one, either the dead OLF or the Jawar Mohamad Islamic Movement, will alter it. The Amharas and their Amharic language are the electrifying elements of the Ethiopian societies. Without them, Ethiopia will be like Egypt without the waters of the River Nile!
