{UAH} Hon. Tumwebaze/Kyambadde: Key to beautification of Towns, Cities and Municipalities

Majority urban dwellers can't afford rent - and good business ideas collapse because of high rental fees and lack of low let-able space.

The consequence thus is:

The enormous development of semi and temporary structures all over Uganda. These semi and temporary structures easy to move, can crop up anywhere along the roads, road reserves and islands on building roof tops, on sewer facilities and under power lines.

It is very dangerous for city dwellers since at times these semi and temporary structures some made from tins remnants, lack architectural and proper electrical fitting and designs hence the highest number of people who have lost lives from being electrocuted or constantly being exposed to electromagnetic fields.

The structures are normally small and confined making it very inconvenient working environment for basically women who normally occupies these semi and temporary structures.

Hon. Tumwebaze could work together with Ministry of Gender, Industry, Finance and Lands, Housing and Urban Development to source for funds to set up structures for business incubation in industrial centers(zones) or on the outskirts of the Towns, Cities and Municipalities.  Or through a private public partnership build cheaper commercial centers for business incubation where majority of the citizens who can't build or rent can start and incubate their businesses upstarts.

United Kingdom is doing the same !

Bwanika.
