{UAH} Obote's second fall from power in 1975

This is civic education. Obote fell from power in 1975 not because of Okello and his soldiers or because of Museveni and his NRA. He fell because western and other powers "… were interested in seeing another pliable government come to power in Uganda – strategically important because of its borders with Kenya, Sudan and Zaire [now DRC]"(Victoria Brittain 1990).
