At the time of his death he had just served for about 3 months as RDC for Alebtong district after the recent reshuffle.
According to Dr Ochama who examined him, he died of liver failure after suffering excessive blood leakage in the stomach.
The fact that it was Doctor Ochama the specialist in Hepatitis disease at Mulago National referal hospital who delivered the medical report is good enough for you to guess the cause of death!
The truth is that hepatitis B is a devastating disease particularly in the West Nile Region and the whole of the greator North. One can actually stay with this disease from the time of birth for a long time without major symptoms until ones immunity drops and if not detected early results ultimately to death.
In a very short period I have witnessed a medical Doctor and 3 nurses die, a secondary teacher and a number of primary teachers die, community development officers and sub county chiefs and many members of the community have died un noticed and now political leaders from the lowest to the highest level have also started to succumb to this deadly disease.
My question to the nrm government remains when shall you show concern and take action to save the people from this region from this deadly disease? Vaccinate the people please!
