{UAH} Top Muslim Cleric Netted Over Terrorism
Two bombs simultaneously ripped through the Ethiopian Village restaurant and a sports club in the Ugandan capital nearly four years ago. Kalule was a suspect.
Kalule who was arrested during the raid is being held at the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) in Kireka.
Fred Enaga, the police spokesperson told journalists on Saturday that during the raid, police seized materials from his home that included; laptops, paper work, phones, items Enaga said could be used to manufacture bombs.
Kalule was among the suspects of the 2010 twin bombs that rocked Kampala leaving scores dead. He was however exonerated due to lack of enough evidence to pin him.
It should be recalled that in 2010, Somali islamist group Al-Shabaab suicide bombers hit Kampala on July 11, 2010 killing 74 people watching the World Cup final at two different venues.
Enaga added that the police had been following Kalule's movements since then.
