UGANDAN EX-INTERNATIONAL JIMMY SEMUGABI PASSES ON

Ex-Uganda Cranes star and soccer administrator Jimmy Bakyayita Semugabi has passed on. Semugabi who was part of the Cranes in the 1950s till 1960s died on Friday May 23, 2014 with reports pointing to heart failure.
As a player, Semugabi is more prominently remembered at Express FC where he blossomed in the early sixties.
He was also part of the Uganda Cranes side that featured at the 1962 Africa Nations Cup finals in Ethiopia.
As a coach, Semugabi guided Coffee to the 1971 Uganda Cup and also managed the Uganda Cranes in 1979.
