{UAH} Update on the late Rose Okello
Folks;
I have a few updates for you about our departed fellow citizen, Rose Okello.
I've been in contact with her nephew, David Kitara, who flew in this afternoon from San Diego. David and his sister are lodging in Oakland. Given the weekend, they will visit the body on Monday. This family is from Gulu.
(By the way, I said here yesterday that I didn't know this lady. That's true, except my wife knew her and even visited her shop in San Francisco about 4 years ago!)
Anyway, I advised David to ask for a certified copy of the Death Certificate, so they may fully understand the cause of Rose's death. If foul play is suspected, he should contact me immediately.
Hard to believe, but Rose Okello passed away on April 11!
Secondly, after claiming the body, I asked them to open a Bereavement Account with a national bank, such as Bank of America, Chase or Citi Bank, and announcement the account number here and in other forums that serve Ugandans.
Thirdly, they should contact their preferred airliner - BA is known to help here - and inquire about a complimentary cargo service.
So, Rose's family is present now to take the next steps in sending her home. Once the bank account information is made available to us, I plead with you to make a contribution to send Rose home.
Pojim
