{UAH} WHEN WILL LEARN TO CONGRATULATE POLITICAL OPPONENTS?

Uganda is still digesting and celebrating the victory of Ms.Brenda Nabukenya after she regained her seat in parliament. A 62% win with a large margin of 16,000 votes more than her nearest rival. A huge victory by all standards where total votes cast were about 61,000.
Even before voting day, keen observers foresaw the mass support that Ms. Nabukenya enjoyed with the population compared to the ruling party candidate.
Museveni has now come out to say that voting was rigged. The outburst is contained in a gruelling expose sent to the media where he puts forth his observations on election rigging from 1961 to date.
The culprits, he says, are two political parties: The Uganda's Peoples Congress and the Democratic Party.
Let us remember that Museveni started his rebellion in 1981 following painful elections he lost to Sam Kuteesa. He then declared that the exercise had been rigged.
Incidentally it is in Luweero district that he pitched camp to launch his rebellion against the UPC government of Apollo Milton Obote.
We will never know for sure if there were any malpractices because no judicial recourse or recount was ever conducted.
It will forever remain a case of Museveni's word against Obote's.
Since the Bush war, Luweero district is considered a ruling party stronghold. The "Mecca of NRM" they said. Well! No more. And that's OK. Loosing is the other half of democracy. So when will Museveni congratulate opponents after he looses an election? Always complaining...
