I believe they now have second thoughts

about Assad.It is no longer in their interest

that Assad falls. Just like Saddam was back in the days when Ayotollah threat were a nightmare

for the oil Kingdoms.

I do not think the drones alone shall do the magic. Because, as said, the fronts are multi-complex.

The Kurds want chaos to persist so they can at the end of the day, 

break away with their autonomy.

Looks to me like the USA might have to put some ground force behind the drones, after all.
