{UAH} BETTY NAMBOOZE IS SEEKING CHEAP POPULARITY

Oil and other minerals are national assets and wealth. What exactly does Buganda mean by demanding a share? You see, Baganda, like any other peasants in Uganda, will enjoy emancipation the day they free themselves from the eating feudalists posing as their leaders. In the case of Buganda, it is Mmengo and then the Baganda elite. These simply shout for 'Buganda' kumbe they are simply self-seeking. The land tenure in Buganda renders the mukopi a pauper serf, yet the 'leaders' are ever inciting peasants into rioting over Ebyaffe, as if the peasants have anything to gain. Nambooze, Mmengo Clique et al should be seen for what they are: opportunists, who distract attention from their failures as leaders, to 'the eating' regions and tribes. The very same way national leaders blame every  one of their failures on colonialists and imperialists, who in essence are their partners in crime. Uganda's question is a class, not 'tribal' one. A peasant in Rwamahembe, is as suffering as one in Baamusakata, Oloitok or Akwara....ONLY MYOPIC SELFISH LEADERS see their 'own people' as marginalised. BUGANDA WOULD ACTUALLY BE WORSE OFF WITH A MUGANDA PRESIDENT than it is today. M7 is the greatest gift to happen to Buganda: he erased the age-old nonsense of 'Mwana w'ani', 'mwan w'eng'oma' ...he simply proved that 2st century royalty is royalty by ability, not blood, which in any case is all the same. Instead of rants, Nambooze and ilk should be focusing on what wealth Buganda sits on, and mobilise their people to work. The disservice the colonialists did to Buganda was to make them believe that there are jobs and tasks Baganda cant do, meant for 'bapakasi'. There is no tribe as abapakasi...it is a class, which one can transcend...and this is what happened, while Buganda is still stcuk in illusions
