{UAH} For sale: President Zuma
President Jacob Zuma was reportedly put up for sale on the Gumtree website with the claim that he "cost too much to obtain".
The Star newspaper reported that the tongue-in-cheek advert, posted by "Average Joe" was later taken down off the website.
"Desperately in need of a functioning president. This one costs too much to maintain, will take what we can get at the moment, just make an offer," read the message accompanying the picture of Zuma.
The advert said the cost was negotiable and that the seller was willing to "swap for smarter/cheaper model".
Gumtree spokesperson Estelle Nigel reportedly told mybroadband that the website could not be used to sell humans.
It is not the first time the popular website has featured a fake advert. Cape Town's Table Mountain was also recently "put up for sale" and there have been numerous others.
