Ha! Ha! I've seen a number of postings on this topic and what disappoints
is to see people ( forumists ) take to the attitude of a hunter armed with a sharp
spear and yet claims how he can't kill an edible rat because it's too fast for his spear!
I, as a DP, I just laugh my head off on such kind of miserabilism, tantamount to offering
victory to NRM on a very clean silver plate! And the person to take off his big hat in an apparent
appreciation of such a cowardly offer is indeed Kaguta himself, a man who has always told the nation
how he is now there becaujse he ventured go to thje bush with just seven guns and 17 colleagues!!
What kills oppositions wherever they tend to exist is cowardice!!! People giving up and getting discouraged
on the very first onset without trying first to seize any opportunity available! If in the recent Luweero by-election
the opposition had let itself propagandaed in defeat because the area was historically NRM, Brenda Nnabukenya
wouldn't have gone through! she triumphed because she made a fearless confrontation with the big man, his ministers,
all entire forces..., and the unrivalled financial resources NRM powered in to take the constituency. Hers and the opposition's
determination carried the day by an astounding 16,000 votes!! And there was indeed victory! Victory through conviction, for Brenda
had a programme and a focussed strategy for pulling the people out of their misery! Money failed to attract any vote!
I've seen an argument that Luweero was easy because it was just a by-election involving just a constituency, and not a national
general election involving a nationwide campaign, etc.. where NRM does better! By the way, if NRM does better on a greater election
scale why then can't they shine and overwhelm the opposition at constituency level in spite of M7's presen,ce in all campaigns? The answer is very clear and obvious! NRM can't win a national election because they don't have a capacity to convince and they don't have IQ manpower to pull crowds to a project. The only man we see everywhere in NRM is M7 who will not have energy to shake the opposition team staffed by eminent political gurus who will just be an attraction to the masses!
The opposition has many chances! There is no need to panic with the idea that there is no time for them to get prepared for 2016, there is no
credible candidate to assemble all opposition wings, there is no sufficient grassroot structure for them, there is no money on their accounts, etc...
The opposition knows all the challenges it faces. It's led by politicians who know what they are doping. they will asses the situation, make their
election programme, choose one of their numbers to carry their flag, us the little mean s they have in order to expound on their expected very
rich programme which will win millions of voters even where they now don't have any representation! To win hearts is bigger than to win mere grassroots! In Luweero they won all the hearts of the people and in the same swoop the grassroots were lost to the them! NRM was in hot soup
and the multitudes attending Brenda's rallies just annoyed a number of people....And now we hear of some others who accuse the opposition of
having rigged their NRM! Rigging a party that has the EC, the security forces, the entire administration system, all finances etc in their hands?
They had better admit that according to what they saw in the camùpaigns they were defeated very miserably! The other time they were defeated by
a paltry 30 votes, there was rigging, they claimed. And this time it was not only 30 but a difference of 16,000 ! So let them show us how this situation
was a result of a rigged poll! These chaps who will never confess their sins but only pretend that it's the others who are on the wrong were indeed
beaten, caned, slashed and smashed in Luweero! And this is a clear curtain raiser for what to expect in 2016
Any effort for falsification of electoral lists, IDs, etc.. won't help as long as the people are determined to see change!
There is no need to underestimate the efforts of the opposition! The current panic within NRM proves how the very sharp and tactful opposition parties
have succeeded to politically surround NRM in every angle and to politically weaken it too through a well-calculated strategy that turns any NRM guys into ordinary nonentities without sufficient political energy to confront a brilliant team where for us in DP we are very proud of Hon Mr Norbert Mao's presence, a real political genius and strategist with no equal in the already politically stooping NRM where only one leader/campaigner/ thinker counts and the rest are just there to listen and clap!
Such a team will never be a threat to the combined opposition forces which will indeed be the only political option and choice for the Ugandan masses, now ready to say farewell to the 28-year old rule!
