Happy Father's Day to all my male friends on Facebook,
Biological fathers,
Social fathers,
Psychological fathers,
Mental fathers,
Professional fathers,
Mentors who shape our thinking,
Pillars whom we lean on,
Shields who protect us from attackers,
Fortresses whom we run unto,
those who nurture us lovingly,
fathers who love us unselfishly,

Those who have stepped in our fathers empty shoes,
Those who are gentle when the world sees them as weak,
Those who show us what a real man is,
Those who cry with us in our times of pain and grief,
Those who guide us gently as a good shepherd,
Those who gracefully discipline us,

Those who care to be godly.
Those who are there when we need them.
Those who listen without pretending to do so.
Those who have time when they could be doing something else.
Fathers to us as God created them to be.
