{UAH} Register for ICA - Cartography Workshops -September& November

Those interested in Cartography short courses can register for an upcoming workshops that will be held here in Kampala in the months of September and November by the International Cartography association and the Head of the Research Group cartography Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation Vienna University in Austria.

This is a skills transfer conference/workshop in the use of modern cartographic tools, for example; webmapping, image processing and photogrammetry,   remote sensing and surveying, GIS and mobile cartography.

What can cartography be used for?

Modern cartography is very essential in designing better transport system vis-vi vis Land Use activities, placement of infrastructure system and amenities, environmental studies, population studies,town planning, forestry, agriculture, master plan design, address system in urban areas, GPS based modern tracking systems for freight transporters and locating flora and fauna (wild life), marine studies, tourism, property location etc.
