{UAH} UGANDA TO BE ELECTED, THREE HOURS FROM NOW

Tonight  at  3.00 pm New York  time 10.00 pm East Africa Standard Time, a historical event will take place when our Foreign Minister Samuel Kahamba Kuteesa will be elected President of the 69th session of the United Nations General assembly.
He is the sole candidate not only for Africa, but also Middle East, Asia, Latin America, Caribbean, Pacific and others. Let;s pray for his and Uganda and Africa's victory. Let's pray for some of our military and political exiles who had turned into prophets of dooms and night dancers against this victory.
Who was not interested in Mzee Paul Orono Etiang for being Assistant Secretary General of OAU in seventies and early eighties. He started as Uganda's High Commisisoner to UK at the end of Obote l regime, Minister of State, Office of the President during Amin's time, and chaired AU summit whenever Amin was out in 1975. Etiang is remembered for 1980 Lagos Plan of Action which came for regional integration like PTA, COMESA, SADC , Al Maghrib etc....
Then Ambassador Olara Otunnu who was our Permanent Representative in UN in early eighties? He was too close to UN Secretary General Perez de Queller and brought him to Uganda in 1984, where he was received by the then Prime Minister otema ALimadi at ENtebbe and later met the then President Milton Obote at the then International Conference Centre. It was broadcast live by Radio Uganda and l followed from Mbaale-Kitaasa in Bukomansimbi. Otunnu almost became UN Secretary General had he not changed citizenship to Ivory Coast and had Uganda officially backed him.
Recently we had Ndugu Ruhakana Rugunda chairing the UN Security Council.
So let's wait for the hour. Good night.
