{UAH} Amisa} SAM KUTEESA'S MAIDEN SPEECH

Good lord, Amisa,
Mr.Sam Kutesa's role is a figurative one. He is going to influence nothing for Ugandans at UN. He is going to be involved in only one important meeting according to the UK Guardian newspaper. He is going to be more like a married woman who sleeps at the boys quarters of the main house, and never gets to see her husband.

Please, we should not waste our energy on this Kutesa issue. UN has its owners and they've only allowed him into that slot because its more or less useless. Ugandans shouldn't expect anything from Sam Kutesa, but this is something that will probably look good on his CV considering what he has been accused of in the past!

By the way, as a kid I used to admire Sam Kutesa for his too much money but I've seen what money does to people when they have fat accounts. So, I even don't know how to rate him anymore but I understand that he would have made a good lawyer if he had opted out politics and concentrated on the law.

Tulowoze kubilala banange. Lets forget about Kutesa. There is nothing there for us, guys.

He should focus on overhauling the so called security council. If that happens, Climate and poverty erradication will can be enforced because the biggest polluters and exploiters are untouchables with their fraudullent Veto powers. If he is their to please the scheemers, we shall end up loosers as usual. Remember Kofi Anani, Butra batross (Loss) Ghali, Perez di quera were all failures.

UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY'S NEW PRESIDENT'S SPEECH
Mr Kutesa said his unanimous election was a sign of trust and confidence in him and a recognition of Uganda's contributions.

He said the UNGA should focus on reducing poverty, fighting climate change and advancing gender equality.

"The scale and reach of most of the challenges we face, coupled with the limited capacity of many of those worst affected, requires that we address them collectively," he said. "The UN exists to find solutions through our combined efforts."
He first talked to the UN General Assembly in 1985 when he was Minister of Justice/Attorney General. He addressed it later in 2006 as he had become Foreign Minister. More details in Bukedde and New Vision.
