UMBS'S HAJJATI SEBYALA SCOOPS AN AWARD!

Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters, our own Hajjati Sebyala has got another award.Every year Makerere University Business School honours one individual who in their view and sieved out of very many nonimations, has performed exceptionally well in their respective areas. This year 2014 Hajjat Aphwa Kawaase Sebyala was awarded the 2014 MUBS MERITORIOUS SERVICES AWARD

This was at the MUBs graduation on Friday 30th May,2014 at their Nakawa campus- Kampala. The Award was handed over by Dr. Christa Oslo, Vice Provost, draake University USA, who came all the way from the US to grace MUBS graduation with her presence.

UMBS administrator, Abbey Semuwemba, congratulated Hajjati Sebyala:'You have made the Ummah proud. This is another award in just a period of 7 months after your award in Washington. I'm also glad to chart with the two great Kawaases on almost the same day after i received a surprise 'hello' call from Hajji Mukasa Kawaase who is a great friend'.

Marking the arrival of Islam to the East African country in 2012, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni praised Muslims for their spirit of tolerance and contributions to the society. Hajjat Sebyala Aphwa has certainly been part of this big time.

Museveni said interaction between Muslims and non-Muslims in Uganda has helped better clear the face of the Muslim community.

"The non-Muslim community has now come to understand the Muslim community better as a result of interaction among the different communities."

Ugandan Muslims comprise some 14 percent of the predominantly Christian country's 32-million population, according to the CIA Factbook.
