Max Steinberg Facebook page IDF Soldier, Max Steinberg, 24, was killed in action on Sunday, July 20th in Gaza. | When 24-year-old Max Steinberg was buried in Jerusalem this week, 30,000 people attended the funeral. The young man from California had volunteered to serve with the elite Golani unit and was killed in the fighting in Gaza. At the funeral his father said, "I want to answer a question that's on the mind of many people, about whether we regret letting him go, and to give an unequivocal no."
Steinberg was buried next to two other soldiers who were killed, one from Ethiopia and the other from Russia. The cost of Israel's survival and freedom is high. But the cost of doing nothing and allowing terrorists to free reign is even higher. We must take our stand and do our part to fight and win the spiritual battle for Israel's future. And we must do all that we can to bless and encourage the Jewish people who are suffering right now.
We are being overwhelmed with urgent requests for aid from Israel to help those who are hurting because of the fighting. We can't say no—but we can't say yes unless you say yes. This is not my appeal for help...it is the appeal of Jewish mothers and fathers, grandparents, little children and Holocaust survivors. Please do your best when you send your gift today. We were created and called for this moment of battle!
As air-raid sirens sound in Jerusalem, the Holocaust survivors can take shelter in the beautifully equipped bomb shelter/community center that friends like you made possible. This air- conditioned and heated facility has a fully equipped kitchen, television and Internet service—all provided at no cost to the precious people who come there for safety in dangerous times. From the fifth floor of your Jerusalem World Center...our command and control center...we are organizing help to those in great need. None of this is possible without you.
With the growing level of violence, our support for the Jewish people today is more important than ever—and we need your help to support the work of the Jerusalem Prayer Team and our outreaches to meet the needs of the poor and show the meaning of true Christian love with the Friends of Zion Heritage Center.
I am so thankful for every beloved saint who has given sacrificially so that this great need could be met. July is the biggest challenge we face before the museum is complete. We do not have another bill this big before we open. If every partner will do all that they are able, I believe we will have the miracle we need. We are praying and believing God for $100,000 to come in this week. So far 475 loving friends have given $48,225. That means we still need $51,775.
July is a prophetic month for me. It was in July more than 30 years ago that I prophesied over Benjamin Netanyahu and anointed him with oil saying, "You will be prime minister twice." I told the prophecy to Prime Minister Begin and asked him to give Benjamin a job—his first job in politics—and he did. Now we need a prophetic miracle in July so that the work on the Friends of Zion Heritage Center...and all of our other outreaches to bless the Jewish people...can continue. | | | | | | | | | | With your gift of any amount…
