When 24-year-old Max Steinberg was buried in Jerusalem this week, 30,000 people attended the funeral. The young man from California had volunteered to serve with the elite Golani unit and was killed in the fighting in Gaza. At the funeral his father said, "I want to answer a question that's on the mind of many people, about whether we regret letting him go, and to give an unequivocal no." Steinberg was buried next to two other soldiers who were killed, one from Ethiopia and the other from Russia. The cost of Israel's survival and freedom is high. But the cost of doing nothing and allowing terrorists to free reign is even higher. We must take our stand and do our part to fight and win the spiritual battle for Israel's future. And we must do all that we can to bless and encourage the Jewish people who are suffering right now. We are being overwhelmed with urgent requests for aid from Israel to help those who are hurting because of the fighting. We can't say no—but we can't say yes unless you say yes.
