{UAH} J.N@SOME OF WHAT PEOPLE SAY ON OWANA'S UBC!
JN,
All these people that represent different govt institutions in public need courses on public speaking. One time the UBC anchor amazed us when he announced confidently: 'Tomorrow there will be no weather..........!'; we were absolutely shocked; only to realize that it was a studio problem - he meant to say: 'Tomorrow there will be no weather report' but the microphone decided that he had spoken enough and it unilaterally decided to change his statement.
And that time the news anchor jumped up,it was revealed he was seated on a three legged stool, but with one leg replaced by a bottle of beer.
By the way, there lots of funny stories about Tonny Owana's UBC. I heard that when it was still called UTV, there was a time a cockroach crawled over the camera lens that was trained on the news anchor.
Plus Bal Francis saw a snake once in the middle of a news cast and exclaimed,'OMG a Serpent' (with that accent) lol. You can imagine Bbale Francis saying the word 'serpent'. That was the Bbale jumped up only to reveal his shorts below, with necktie and coat up!
