Ms. Atima Omara-Alwala is the daughter of UNAA Council Member; Prof. Thomas Omara-Alwala who is also the Founding President of the Lango Association of North America (LAONA)

Born in Virginia, USA; She was last year elected the the first African American and first Female President of the Young Democrats of America (YDA) - an 80 year old organization.
