{UAH} China wants now to talk with Pope!
Pope Francis has indeed impressed and won hearts in the entire Asian region!
Everyone seems to be running to him and the results of his visit to South Korea
are apparently on display in all people's minds.
In a surprising note emitted by China Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Madame Hua Chunying,
Peking is now ready to talk to Pope Francis in order to cut friction with the Vatican. And they do want
a constructive dialogue to improve bilateral relations with the Vatican!! Of course trhis spokeswoman
was acting on instructions from above. The Chinese President was said to be impressed by the message
the Pope had sent him when overflying his territory. A technical problem didn't allow the message to reach
Peking but the real text was soon expedited to China by the Vatican, and this touched the Chinese boss!
China was said to have been moved by the election of a non European Pope from Argentine, a country which
enjoys good relations with China which gave an immediate greenlight to the Pope's plane to overfly its territory
while the same permission has never been granted to any other previous Pope!
The Pope, who during this South Korean visit has on several occasions seized the opportunity to extend a friendly
hand to Communist China, is now exhalted by peking's announcement. Vatican will take the opportunity to streamline
the Church in China, now divided in two opposing groups, one loyal to Rome and another strongly tied to Peking which
even names its bishops!!! The tendency now is for unity with Rome! Equally avoided will be the new theology that include
the virtues of patriotism!
Pope Francis has indeed won big in Asia. He has inflamed the entire youth who are all madly loyal to him! The youth form the
majority of the Pope's 12 million-strong twitter audience! Far bigger than US President Obama's....The Pope uses 12 languages
to reach his global audience. The Asian youths appreciated his English which he largely used to address them two days ago.
And when at one occasion during his audience with the thousands of them he declared that he was going to speak in talian and
a priest was going to translate because his English was poor! The entire capacity assembly of 6000 youths shouted NOOOO!
Yes, he preferred to switch to Italian because he wanted to communicate without text as he had more and more things to tell them!
Just as he had a lot yesterday to tell to the 65 bishops officially designated to represent the wide Asian Episcopal Conference in Seoul..
He underlined the importance of the dialogue and openness to others in a genuine brotherly way.He further appealed to the bishops to
show their true identity and not to hide in incomprehensible situations.
The Pope is succeeding because he has shown firmness and openness in Asia and this has won him the support of the masses!
The millions that go out to the streets to cheer him every day in Seoul and elsewhere are an occasion to testify this passion for the great
Roman Pontiff!
