Sir Daudi Chwa II's Albion 16-H.P car, the first privately owned motor car in Kibuga-Kampala.Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa II the 34th Kabaka of Buganda, was the first person in Uganda, to privately own a motor car, which was powered by a vertical-twin 16 horse power engine, built by Albion Motors in 1906. The first mortar car, a 16-hp Albion, was brought into Buganda by Sir Hesketh Bell on 20th April 1908. Albion 16 (1905–1913) 3141 cc twin-cylinder was the first car model to brought into Buganda and the rest of Uganda. Port Bell in Kampala is named in his honour of Sir Hesketh Joudou Bell. It should be in one of the houses at ( kasubi) buganda cultural heritage , for antique viewing!


2.This is the preserved dodge of the late Ssekibobo Ham Mukasa of Kyaggwe.The Dodge K7835 of the late Hamu Mukasa (in the picture), the "Ssekibobo of Buganda" or Kabaka's man in-charge of the appointive office of Kyaggwe County Chief. Hamu Mukasa and his wife Sarah Nabikolo, were some of the first Ugandans to drive and privately own a motor car.
