{UAH} Death of Brother Zaid Kalyowa

Assallam Allaikum brothers and sisters, one of our own Zaid Kalyowa who was recently working in Dubai has passed on. The Dubai Ugandan Muslims would remember Zaid for his commitment to attending the Friday Daawah sessions and profusely resisting police arrest as an illegal immigrant on Nasser Square in November last year. He had managed to resist with all his energy the first police man before he was overpowered with a group of several other cops and arrested. I was among the few brothers who visited him in the Dubai cells pending his deportation and he showed me several beat marks of cops, whom in his own words they had isolated him in another small cell after the arrest and bet him up with everything at their disposal accusing him of resisting the arrest. He told the Dubai prosecutor that the resist was his Jihad to hold steadfast on his rizk that was in Dubai. He was subsequently deported. Zaid died this morning in Mengo Hospital and his burial would take place in Iganga district Saturday evening. We pray that Allah accepts his good deeds, forgive him of any misdeeds and make strong his newly wed Mugole and other family members, Ameen.
