Kipsiro Tags UAF Bosses a Bunch of Thugs

Glasgow Commonwealth Gold Medalist Moses Kipsiro blasts the Uganda Athletics Federation Officials, Tagging them Useless and Working on His Downfall

Whereas most of the Nation was celebrating the Commonwealth gold medal for the successive second time running, its winner Moses Kipsiro was just nursing bad thoughts.
How the local Athletics governing body, Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF) had prior dropped him off the games' team list resonated most in Kipsiro’s mind especially considering the fact that the federation officials had blocked his journey that would later see him defend at least the 10,000 meter commonwealth gold medal, one of them he won in New Delhi, India four years ago.
Kipsiro became Uganda’s first double gold medalist winning the 10,000 and 5,000 races breaking the world and Uganda’s games record.
With this Kipsiro thinks UAF want to bring him down something that he says is destined at ending his sporting career prematurely.
He has apparently focused his guns at the current executive as he launches a fight to see UAF executive out of office.
“They are just a bunch of thieves with nothing to promote the game but kill it instead. The focus differently from what everyone in athletics would wish for in the game,†Kipsiro told the investigator SportÂ
Talking at the Uganda Wildlife Authority organized Cocktail last Friday to welcome him, Kipsiro had no kind words for the federation as he deems its officials jealousy and trying all possible means to kill the sport that is currently the country’s gold mine.
Kipsiro who is an athlete at UWA raged that UAF covered up the Sex scandal where local Coach Peter Wemale harassed the girls in the Bukwo Kapchorwa camp and Police could not also do enough to bring the culprit in Wemale to book.
This was after the runner tried a bid to save the girls from the indecent Coach as he lit the camp fire as a whistleblower.
 In the subsequent day after the sexual scandal incident, UAF scrapped Kipsiro off the Commonwealth bound team in a controversial twist of events.
Cheptegei Junior or Senior ?
Guilty that their coach had done the impossible, UAF instead transferred the coach to Masindi Police and replaced him with former steeplechase queen Dorcus Inzikuru as Police coach in Kapchowa.
This is widely seen as transferring a problem from Bukwo to Masindi.
At Entebbe international Airport, Kipsiro who was returning from Glasgow, Scotland last week with the rest of the team turned down UAF’s offer of transportation from Entebbe to Kampala by the UAF bus.
“UAF officials just wanted to reap where they never saw,†Said a source at Entebbe.
“They wanted to jump on his success with their ill-thoughts and arrangements,†he added.
Winnie Nanyondo, a bronze medalist and also an athlete attached to UWA refused to board the UAF bus for fears best known to her.
According to a reliable source that was at Entebbe as the commonwealth team arrived home, the athletics officials were not happy because they knew Kipsiro who they had prior blocked from taking part in the commonwealth would spill more beans coming back as gold medalist.
Currently there is a lot of tension boiling in the UAF as more athletes have vowed to prove to the public that UAF are actually against the game they are appointed and called to develop.
The other point of high tension in UAF circles is the fact that more athletes have openly rallied behind Julius Achon who has taken UAF to court of Law for mismanagement of the game in the country.
This case is scheduled for hearing on the 30th of October. Apparently more of the elite athletes have joined the Achon camp and desire that Dominic Etucet’s recently elected executive is well challenged and thrown out of office.
The athletes are particularly not happy that a one Apollo who is the assistant general Secretary UAF traveled to London yet he is not a coach, has never been a sportsman who has not even tried a simple Mweso game in the country.
Another point of UAF controversy is the fact that they have failed to account for the IAAF incident where it’s said the Federation received between 10,000-20,000 dollars at the recent athletics championship in USA.
At the same event, the pressure forum would want to know why UAF fielded a 26-year old Joshua Cheptegei who eventually won a 10,000m race.
The Athletics pressure forum has done allegations that Cheptegei was an old athlete for the event that attracts only U-18 runners at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Oregon, USA last month.
Reliable sources intimate to the investigator that Kipsiro in utter shock learning again that  UAF have also blocked him from the African championships in Morocco this week.
