{UAH} Pope Francis a superstar in Asia!
With two days to go, when the he will be leaving Asia for Rome, Pope Francis
has in just four days forged himself a legend! That of a world leader very close
to all peoples and ever ready to listen to them. In addition he has moved everyone there
by his impromptu surprise speeches and visits whjere he wasn't programmed! He surprised
a Jesuit Centre for the handicapped children when they saw him arrive from almost nowhere.
The other day, instead of flying in a presidential helicopter to go to Daejon City in the South
he just jumped on a high-speed train and when the chief conductor announced the news to the
more than 500 passengers on board they all burst into wild applause and some wanted to search
all compartments in order to lookk for him!!!
Wherever he has so far been millions have lined on the streets to have a glimpse of him. In the same way
there is unanimity in all interviews recorded by foreign medias to the effect of his popularity which stems
from his interest in every individual person. An d there is a common feeling in the vast entire region that
this Pope will achieve a lot not only for his Church but also for world order; The European common opinion
has been moved by the Vatican's support to President Obama's air strikes in Irak in order to weaken
the Islamists. This is a Pope who acts very fast and very accurately! And he is indeed a world superstar as the
Koreans now call him!
He continues to quake mountains in South Korea. Yesterday he beatified 124 Korean martyrs killed for their faith.
More than one million people were present! And heard him praise these heroes who rejected materialism and
opted for God!! They followed One who is always victorious and who ensured the Martyrs final victory in Heaven.
Pope Francis has in addition showed how he has full authority over his Church and how he can castigate anybody
who stands in the Church's way or who knowingly gets astray from its teaching and discipline! Likewise, while commending
the religious for their work when he met 5000 of them early today he never hesitated to condemn as hypocrites those who
are led astray by a worldly life that condemns them into disrespecting their vow of poverty. He expressed full solidarity with those
who seriously carried out their responsibility for the good of their Church and others.
In another show of solidarity, this time for those who suffer from negligence, the Pope visited the Kattongnae complex specially built
to cater for the handicapped children who ended up in full rejection because of their infirmity. He praised the czentre for the very
good work done. In the same town, he addressed those engaged in activities that promote to prominence the role of the laity
and thanked those engaged in this apostleship.
He continued to show his love for Korea's martyrs when he visited the Seo So Mun shrine where the 103 martyrs who were
canonized by Pope John Paul II were killed. He was seen deeply absorbed into recollection and prayer. He the placed a bouquet
of flowers to the monument.Throughout, Pope Francis has shown how martyrdom can be a spring-board for dynamism in the Church.
The untiring Pope continues with his stay in Asia until Monday afternoon when the continent will regret his departure for Rome.
Indeed Pope Francis has won all hearts in Asia! He has invested all his talents, including impromptu speech improvisation, in the Asian
mission and this has fetched great benefits to him.
