{UAH} Aggrey Awori and Uganda parliament

Awori continues to amuse me. Now he claims to have discovered life outside parliament; sounds strange but it is a reality as some people think they cannot survive without their positions. Retired or better still, defeated, " Today, Awori spends most of his time in Busia cruising around in his two-seater Porsche Boxer. He is always heard telling friends that he has since discovered that there is life outside Parliament, an institution which he said is today like a bus crammed full with too many non-fare paying passengers."

My problem with people like this good friend Awori is why they only talk after losing elections. Such discoveries would make sense if Awori or Omara Atubo had not sought reelection which they lost. I have known these two elder brothers of mine, they are very good gentlemen but I felt let down when they watered down their public image. They struggled to be in parliament and sometimes ridiculed and as both of them have discovered if it is a genuine discovery, life exists everywhere including outside parliament. What took them so long to discover the simple and known public secret, that life exists outside parliament? They should have asked their constituents how they managed life without being parliamentarians and they could have learned good lessons which could have safeguarded them from kicks and slaps.

Yes, life exists outside parliament.
