{UAH} Has Sarah Kagingo Finally Lost It? She has been sacked apparently?
Mafia is a word that has dominated statements of Ugandan politicians in the last days.
However, before it could down its 'initiator', Abraham Byandala who reignited it, State House has reportedly fired Special Communications Assistant, Sarah Kagingo — Succumbing to the word she has feared most in the past days.
Edith Nakalema, private secretary to the president reportedly told Chimpreports "we recommended that she should be sacked and we have already ordered that she doesn't appear near the president."She also added that instructions were also Wednesday evening issued ordered that Kagingo not come closer to the head-of-state.
Kagingo has been in the spotlight since Sunday when raided her home in Muyenga and rescued a 16 year old maid who claimed she had been locked in the house by Kagingo. She also claimed she hasn't been receiving her payments for the last 6 months.
However, she denied the allegations. She says the girl who is being refered to as a maid lost the key to the house and when she called the neighbours for help, they instead rushed to call the police, which arrived at the house minutes later accompanied by the media.Kagingo says that this was a move by a group of people who were plotting her downfall.
Reports show that Kagingo's woes stem from a silent infighting that is going on in the Presidential Press Unit (PPU) and Nakalema is one of them.
Kagingo opened up a case under police file number SD 03/24/08/2014 at Jinja road police station against Nakalema over threatening violence and physically assaulting her.
The Observer Monday reported that there is a deepening conflict over control of its website and President Museveni's social media platforms, where Kagingo is very active.
Sarah Kagingo, a special presidential assistant on communications on the one hand, against deputy Presidential Press Secretary Linda Wamboka Nabusayi and Charlotte Turatunga, the presidential private secretary in charge of ICT.
Museveni has one official Facebook page; Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and It has a following of 147,000 fans. His official Twitter handle @KagutaMuseveni, created has 51,800 followers. The pages were reportedly created by Kagingo when she joined State House at the urging of the president.
