{UAH} Man catches 17-ft anaconda with bare hand

Folks;

Once on a drive  from Tororo to Kampala, the driver stopped abruptly as we entered Mabira forest. He could not utter a word as he pointed at a strange snake crossing the highway. Its length nearly spanned the whole hgiway.

I have never seen an anaconda, but that snake in Mabira forest was eerily similar to this one here. When I narrated my experience to a friend who worked at Wildlife Resort in Entebbe, he acknowledged that his department had received reports of unusually large snakes in Mabira forest. 

So, it's possible we have anaconda in Uganda.
