Dear Prof.Oswald Ndoleriire;
In response to what transpired in our meeting in your office last week you have asserted that Runyoro-Rutooro language is being examined at O and A levels.
But, according to the New Vision of September 4, 2014, page 4, where the Examination Time Table for UCE 2014 and Examination Table for UACE 2014, are published, copies of which the chairperson Runyoro-Rutooro Language Board, Rev. Isidore Kakyomya Araali, distributed to us, all Local languages are listed and the time tables include them except Runyoro-Rutooro.
Runyoro-Rutooro does not feature anywhere on those time tables. Why?. That means Runyoro-Rutooro is not being examined. Why then do you assert that it is being examined at O and A levels.
Even John Kintu, lecturer in Runyakitara at Kyamboto University and Makerere University, asserts, in his article which appeared in the magazine, BUNYORO EXPO 2013 page 59, he asks,"Is the Runyoro-Rutooro community aware that it is nearly the only language that has not even made it to ordinary level UCE examinations.
