Veteran journalist, Moses Serwanga Mukiibi, Secretary General of Uganda Journalists Safety Committee (UJSC) under the late Haji Muhammad Katende who died late lasy year, has passed on at Mulago Hospital.
Serwanga Mukiibi joined Shield publications under Omutaka Ndugwa Grace Ssemakula Musoke in late eighties, and journalism in 1991 as a reporter for Ngabo and the Star newspapers.
Burial arrangements will be announced later.
He hails from Luwero in Bulemeezi, was an RC official and Youth Council official for Kibuye ll Parish and Makindye Division between 1989 and 1997, and has been active in defence of media freedom.
His wife is also paralyzed and in a wheel chair.
