SPOILER ALERT: This recap reveals the winner of Dancing With the Stars Season 19.

The wait is over! Another Dancing With the Stars season is in the can, after a star-studded finale that featured one of the tightest races in the show's history. Actor Alfonso Ribeiro and his pro partnerWitney Carson became the 19th winners of the celebrity ballroom competition.

"I've wanted it forever," the emotional Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum said after his name was announced by host Tom Bergeron. "My God, I can't stop, I don't even know what to say… these are happy tears." Ribeiro credited Carson for his success in the competition, saying, "We've had so many highs and some pretty low lows. I don't think I would have ever gotten here with anyone else but you." Indeed, with only two DWTS seasons under her belt, Carson's win is definitely impressive.

The winning pair battled it out with the equally worthy Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas on Tuesday night, as they each danced a make-or-break fusion dance (with less than 24 hours to prepare!). But no one had more heart than Ribeiro, who said he had wanted to compete on Dancing With the Stars since the show's debut in 2005. His rollercoaster of a season included the show's first-ever tap solo, a revival of his famous Fresh Prince Carlton dance, and a subsequent groin injury that haunted him throughout the final weeks of the competition.

Third-place finisher Parrish told her partner Chmerkovskiy that she was grateful to be standing next to him in the finals. "You were my trophy in the entire season," she said. And runner-up Robertson said she had "an amazing experience" with pro dancer Ballas, and she thanked God for taking her so far in the competition.

In addition to the coveted mirrorball win, Tuesday night's supersized season finale was a bona fide dance party, with performances by pop stars Meghan Trainor, Nick Jonas, and Jennifer Hudson, while the previously eliminated stars returned to perform encores of their most memorable dances. (Tommy Chong, we hardly had a chance to miss you!) And the judges got in on the action, too. Len Goodman turned up in a lowrider with Cheech Marin, and there was even a Bruno Tonioli birthday cake in honor of the Italian judge's 59th birthday.

After the confetti fell, Team Witfonso received plenty of congratulations on Twitter, from fans andDWTS alums alike:
