HUMAN RIGHT ACTIVITS DEMAND STATE HOUSE TO APOLOGISE OVER LUZINDA HIV STATUS

The group of human rights activists in conjunction with team Desire is demanding a written apology from state house over Desire Luzinda's HIV Status, we have exclusively learnt.

This shocking information was revealed by Flavia Kyomukama a human right activist in an exclusive interview at Grand Imperial hotel in Kampala.

Ms Kyomukama told the press that when Desire's glittered lover Franklin exposed her nude pictures to social media, some state house officials said that Luzinda was HIV Positive and was spreading the virus to the public.

"It was very unfortunate to see that some respected state house officials issued such statements. It was a shame on them and to state house," sounded Kyomukama adding that if State house does not apologize, they will take it in courts of law.

Kyomukama said that the unlawful harassment sanctioned by State Institutions violates Ms Luzinda's rights to social support and safety
as a victim of a betrayal by a jilted lover.

She added that State house has officials who are HIV Positive but they are not harassed they way they harassed Luzinda.

"First of all State house did not test Luzinda to confirm if she was HIV Positive and if at all she has, the state should protect her," she

said. She added that Human right activists have petitioned to the Speaker of Parliament government looks Franklin and he faces the law.

"We have already written a petition to the Speaker, IGP Kale Kyihura and the Nigerian Embassy to work together and bring Franklin to Uganda and he faces the law.

Kyomukama also accused Fr Lokoda for fueling the arrest and prosecution of Desire Luzinda. "Lokodo should not harass Luzinda because she was betrayed by her lover and Lokoda too can be betrayed in the same way," she said.

She also said that the law in which Luzinda should be charged is being protested in courts of law. She added that Lokoda has no powers to implement Anti Pornography act until petition contesting its constitutionality is heard and disposed of by court.
