Just as a foot note on this report, I need you to go through it very carefully and count the number of times the name Acholis has been used. This study was funded by Norway, it has nothing to be bias about, these are words from those that have survived the violence of Acholis.  When you read this  report you see exactly what we passed through in Luwero war. They steal everything, the loot everything and they rape everything in skirts. This is not bullying this is statement of facts. We have so many tribes in Uganda, why not Baganda? Why not Bakiga? Why not Iteso? Why not Banyankole? And yet all those were in UNLA, why only Acholis? And do you know what makes my head shake they are only 4% in the entire country, why can't we sit with them across the table and ask what they enjoy in violence? In Luwero they were simply shooting at random and in very many places.  And this is how Acholis work, they come in a group and they start to talk to the people, one of them decides to steal what he sees, then out of the blue one goes bonkers and starts to fire a weapon in people, then they laugh it off. With no emotions and no caring, just sheer brutality. And you wonder how many years we are going to keep quiet about this issue.

 

What is it with Acholis and violence?   And I am just asking.
