{UAH} Jim:Gen. Salim Saleh Akandwanaho Rufu on the Yoweri Kaguta Museveni - Amama Mbabazi rift.
Jim,
Yes, it seems we are in trouble, but I wouldn't read much into what Gen. Salim Saleh says in public as far as his president- brother is concerned. These two are tied up to the hips!
As far as the "trouble" bit is concerned, It means the duo: Mbabazi and Museveni, may be playing us. But sometimes games like this end up badly with the one who seems weaker ending up playing the one who seems stronger. The stronger always has expectations and net results, but the weaker one is always strategising.
That's why I told forumists to go slow on this fall out between Mbabazi and Museveni for now. Have you heard anything negative about Mbabazi from Gen.Kayihura , Gen. Aronda, or any of the important guys in the army? The answer is "No".
Have you seen Soroti's Mike Mukula raising his tail again against Mbabazi? No
Did you see how Hajji Nadduli was humbled or rather humiliated in the recent Luwero church fundraising? Honestly, I wouldn't wanna be in my 60s and someone treats me like pigshit, man. That is grand- dad stage, man! Granddads are supposed to be respect, I suppose.
Did you read in the Daily Monitor when Moses Ali was retracting his "snake" comments against Mbabazi?
Have you seen Mr.Jim Muhwezi attacking Mbabazi again in the media despite the fact that he is now partly charged with organising a delegates conference that is supposed to burry Mbabazi's political career?
Even Museveni's PR team is treading carefully on this one. Nobody has gone on a full attack on Mbabazi, not even the guy , Tamare, with a fully oiled engine in his mouth? Andrew Mwenda only wrote one piece in his famous " Last Word" column, but he also chose his words very carefully. Actually, I failed to get sense out of the whole article written by Andrew because he was tiptoeing around the whole issue. He basically did a lot of foreplay without using his pecker to get the juice out of the situation.

One thing that should worry us more than the Museveni--Mbabazi feud is the fact that the opposition has gone underground. Do you see them on streets anymore? Do you see Besigye, Mao, OO, .........blessing themselves for teargas anymore? Do you see them fighting for airtime on radio stations anymore? Do you see them fighting for front pages in newspapers anymore?
What the hell is happening? What are they cooking? Do you think they have got no leadership underground? Why do you think the govt has started chasing shadows, for instance, the disappearance of FDC's Sam Mugumya? Where does FDC's Mugisha Mutu fit in all this?
The word I'm looking for here is "panic". There is panic all around in govt circles, I think. And that should worry us. Leaders who panic and keep on chasing shadows, are bound to make serious mistakes!
Mubilowozeko ebyo banange!
